life changing quotes

20 th of May, 2007 marks one year of being without my Better-Half.  "Better-Half" states so well of what Ronnie was for me.  Yet during this past year I have grown and adjusted in ways, that before, was unaccomplishable in my mind.

Shortly after Ronnie's death, 2 quotes captured my attention.  I posted them in my house where I could read them many times every day.  Understanding these quotes helped me to obtain peace during the questionable times this past year.  They have also given me a different direction that I want my life to travel.

These quotes are:

1.   Happiness is a journey.  Not a destination.

2.   LIFE is not a measure by Years of life  -  but by Life of years.

african violet blooms again

If you remember, 11 months ago, I had posted about my african violet plant's first blooming, ever.   

This Saturday, 19th, marked the 52 nd week (one year) since Ronnie passed away.  This morning I awoke with the first viewing of 2 more blooms.  Once again....... one white bloom with purple edges   and the other bloom with a more solid purple appearance.

poker face

It's almost been one year since I begin my new position as boss in the business world of sales.  Previously, for 32 years, I had been a "behind the scene" clerical employee.  No experiences with "wheeling and dealing".

The thought dawned on me today, I need to play poker.  No high stakes games for me, maybe some penny Annie tho.  Why poker ?  So I could practice the needed characteristics needed to be "in sales".  You know......know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.  Also the ability to jew (or Raise would be the action taken in cards), and know how and when it is feasible to do so.   Above all.......to practice on my Poker Face.

Just I thought. Give you a little new something to read on this boring blog.     :^D
