A favorite blog of mine is "Poor Widow Me".  Carol became a young widow one month before I became a widow.  I have never met her, nor do I know what her voice sounds like.  But I still feel a close connection to her.

In a recent blog post of hers, she refers to how the comic strip "Lockhorns" is very similar to how she and her Jimmy was. 

The comic strip that paralleled mine and Ronnie's lives were Arlo & Janis .  Ronnie would ask me "Did you read Arlo & Janis today?  It's us!"   The strip for January 18th (the A & J link has a calendar) talks about "mouse catching", which THAT was Ronnie's job.  I despise those mices, dead or alive.  I never learned how to set those wire/wooden mice traps without being afraid that the trap will pinch my fingers off.  So now, since my "mouse catcher" passed away, I had to invest in plastic traps that all you have to do to cock it is to squeeze the back of the trap, very easy, even for me.  I miss my Mouse Catcher and my Cook and my Garbage Can Man and my.............. etc. etc.

another blog to watch

I have recently stumbled across another blog that should be interesting to watch.  It is written by a Father-to-be to twins.  To my best calculations, the "normal" due date would be around March 1, 2007, which 99.9% probability the babies will come in January/February.  To get you up to speed...... See the hide-n-seek dance of the fireflys on a hot Summer night.

See the gentle falling of yellow, orange, red, or brown leaves during Fall.

See countless twinkling stars through the skeleton tree branches during Winter.

Hear the bird’s songs in Spring.

Hear the tuning orchestra of the katydid’s symphony at mid-Summer evening.

Hear the rustling leaves underfoot while walking through the woods in Fall.

Hear nothing but your heartbeat during a Winter’s snowy night.

Feel the sun’s new found warmth in Spring.

Feel beads of sweat on your skin during Summer.

Feel the cool, crisp breezes of Fall.

Feel the pure moisture of a single snowflake in Winter.

Smell the pungent blooms from the chestnut trees in Spring.

THANKS to all of ya'll that guessed.   Congrats to Michelle and Ann for identifying correctly.  Lilly is on the left..... Meg is on the right (with head tilted).   By Meg having her head tilted may have thrown you for a loop, because in several of the girl's previous pictures, Lilly was the one which would tilt her head to the side.
